Commercial Seeding Contractors (CSC) was established in 1988 with a primary focus on Nebraska Department of Roads projects in eastern Nebraska. In 2016, CSC proudly became a Woman-Owned Small Business and has since expanded its services to include work with the Nebraska Department of Transportation, as well as various municipal partners such as Douglas County, Sarpy County, the Cities of Omaha, Papillion, La Vista, Fremont, and Lincoln, and projects across Iowa.

Why Erosion Control Matters

Erosion control isn’t just about staying compliant. It’s about protecting our land, water, and future. At Commercial Seeding Contractors, we believe responsible construction starts with responsible soil management.

Why Erosion Control Is Essential

  • Prevents Water Pollution: Loose sediment can enter storm drains, rivers, and lakes, harming aquatic life and contaminating drinking water.

  • Protects Infrastructure: Erosion can undermine foundations, roads, slopes, and embankments, causing costly damage.

  • Avoids Legal Issues: Construction sites are required by law to manage runoff and erosion. Failing to do so can result in fines or stop-work orders.

  • Keeps Projects on Track: Stabilized sites reduce weather delays and minimize rework after heavy rain events.

The Benefits of Proper Erosion Control

  • Environmental Stewardship: Protects natural ecosystems and helps restore vegetation through methods like seeding and mulching.

  • Jobsite Safety: Reduces hazards like muddy access points, washouts, or unstable slopes.

  • Long-Term Cost Savings: Preventing erosion is more affordable than repairing damage after the fact.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Supports SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) compliance and local environmental standards.

Our Commitment

At Commercial Seeding Contractors, we use proven Best Management Practices (BMPs) to deliver effective erosion control services tailored to your site. Our team works with you to protect your investment and the environment every step of the way.
